The ones worth answering before you install anything.
Does Grind move my files?
Your files stay exactly where they are, with the names you gave them. Grind builds a catalogue that refers to them in place, and if a drive is unplugged the record stays, marked offline, until it comes back.
Does Grind read my Gmail inbox?
Grind asks for a send-only permission: exactly what it takes to send a campaign through your own address, and all it ever holds. Reporting bounces reads delivery-failure notices only, through a separate permission you grant from Settings.
Which DAWs are supported?
Kit Builder reads FL Studio projects. Everything else in Grind works on audio files — the library, the tags, the campaigns, the opens and the placements — whichever DAW made them.
How are placements found?
Grind looks for releases that match what you actually sent, reading public release data. A match arrives as a suggestion, clearly marked, and joins your confirmed record the moment you say it is yours.
Where do the statistics come from?
From public music-data providers, read-only: streams, playlist placements, radio plays and publicly announced certifications. Every figure on the page traces back to a published source.
Can I use Grind without any placements?
Yes, and most of it is built for exactly that. The library, the tagging, the campaigns and the open tracking all work on a catalogue with no placement in it, and the placements screen fills up the day the first one lands.
Is Grind available on Windows?
Grind is a Mac application: macOS on Apple Silicon.
Is there a mobile app?
Grind is a desktop application: it reads the folders on the machine it runs on. The public producer page is a web page and opens on any device.
